Smithsburg Wins "A" Varsity
It was deja vu all over again for Smithsburg's varsity in 2025-26. For the second straight year, the Leopards finished 12-6 in regular season play, 9-1 in winning the Piedmont division title and upset top-seed Mt. Airy to claim top honors in the "A" tournament.
Smithsburg downed Poolesville in this year's quarterfinals, Linganore in the semifinals and got past Mt. Airy 46-34 in the title game.
