MARKHAM, ON: Riding a 3 game winning streak, and coming off perhaps their most complete game of the season, the Markham Royals (10-4-0-1) will face a tough match-up on road when they travel to the Iroquois Park Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon to take on the Whitby Fury (13-3-0-1).

Markham is coming off a big 3-1 win on Friday night at home against the Toronto Patriots, playing what Head Coach Mike Galati called their most complete game of the season. A full 60 minutes of strong play, with some solid goaltending provided by Marcus Semiao who made 37 saves in the win. Jonathan Tecce was credited with his 4th game winning goal of the season after scoring a power play goal in the first period of the game.

The Fury are enjoying a great start to their season, with a 7-3-0-0 record in their last 10 games and are perfect on home ice this season with a record of 10-0-0-0. They have scored a total of 77 goals in 17 games (4.5 goals per game), and have both of their special teams in the Top 10 standings in the League. It’s a rematch of last seasons first round playoff series with these two teams, and will be a fun one to watch.
