Red Hawks Sweep R.I.T. on the Road
The Red Hawks hit the road to open the 2017/2018 season and headed to Rochester, NY last Saturday. The opening game featured an abundance of offense as the Red Hawks received 5 goals from Mikaela Schultz and 4 from Britt Meneghin as the team skated to a 13-8 win over Rochester Institute of Technology. The team would have to turn around less than 12 hours later and face off against the same team again at 7:00AM on Sunday. Victoria Nicolosi would add a hat trick on Sunday, as well as, Lexie Montez and Celine Paulovich each scored their first goals as Red Hawks and Kaye Ferguson stopped 10 of 11 shots as the team skated to an 8-1 victory.
This weekend the team faces a much more difficult task as they travel to Maryland to take on Towson University. This will be the team's first ever league game for the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference. We wish the team the best of luck this weekend.
