These are biographies of the NYCRHL 2020 Hall of Fame class.

Connor Cafferty - F/D – Lions

Cafferty may be the most talented player to lace up the skates at 96th and 1st. Although the Florida native’s time in the NYCRHL was short, his impact, especially in the playoffs when it mattered most, was lasting. The clutch Cafferty appeared in three Tier 1 finals and was amazingly, named Playoff MVP all three times. He was also twice named to the Tier 1 Post-Season All-Star team. Cafferty has competed in Pro Division at several NARCh tournaments and was named to the US National team where he represented the country at the 2018 World championships in Asiago, Italy.

Mike Friedman - F – Alumni, PWC, East End Terriers

Friedman, who currently ranks 13th on the NYCRHL’s All-Time Scoring Leader list with 326 points was one of the early stars of the league. The League’s first Tier 1 MVP in Summer 2007, Friedman also captured the award in Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 and led the League in scoring those same 3 seasons. Friedman, who represented the NYCRHL at the NARCh WinterNationals, was named to the Tier 1 Post-Season All-Star team 6 times.

Jeff Olsen - D – East End Terriers

Olsen is one of the best players to play in the NYCRHL. For 3 seasons (Spring, Fall 2012, and Spring 2013) Olsen dominated Tier 1. Carrying the Terriers on his back for those seasons, Olsen was both the Tier 1 MVP and Outstanding Defenseman, also leading the league in scoring in Fall 2012 and Spring 2013. He would later add his fourth Outstanding Defenseman title in Fall 2014. Although unable to capture the League’s top prize, Olsen was named to the Tier 1 Post-Season All-Star team in all 7 seasons he played in the NYCRHL and finished his career with 84 goals, 138 assists, and 222 points.
