Blades Looking for Billet Families for 50th Season
The Oakville Blades of the Ontario Junior Hockey League are currently looking for billet families for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
The billet family/player relationship is a positive experience for both sides resulting in a longstanding friendship and memories to last a lifetime. The expectation of the Blades player entering your home is that he acts as a family member, following all set rules and any guidelines your children would follow, attends school regularly and completes all assigned tasks on and off the ice. The expectation of the billet family is a bedroom with closet space, an area to complete schoolwork and nutritious meals to accomodate an aspiring elite athlete.
The Blades practice Monday - Wednesday from 4-6pm followed by off-ice activities and home games are played Friday nights at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.
