OAKVILLE - The Oakville Blades have acquired Stephen Whittle from the Trenton Golden Hawks.

Whittle (2001), played his minor hockey with the York Simcoe Express, tallying 22 points in 34 games in 2017-2018, and followed that up with averaging a point-per-game during the 2018-2019 season (31 points in 31 games).

Prior to joining the Blades, the Aurora native was effective in his short time with the Golden Hawks, notching three goals and three assists in 11 games for Trenton.

Standing at 6'3 and 170 pounds, the front office was adamantly pleased with acquiring the likes of Whittle.

“Stephen is a big strong skilled forward that will be a nice complement to our group. I have been a big fan watching Stephen develop the last couple seasons. We feel he has potential to be a D1 hockey player and we hope to be able to provide him an opportunity to get to the next level.”  said Blades general manager Jordan Selinger.

Whittle will wear #20 for the Blades for the remainder of the season.
