Alliston downs Fergus, 5-2
Mark ODonnell registered one point to lead the Alliston Hornets to a 5-2 victory over the Fergus Devils.
The win gave Alliston a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.
Others who scored for Alliston included Mike Barosso, David Leblanc, Tanner Dockerty, and Dakota Brooks, who each put in one. In addition, Alliston received assists from Nic Archibald, who had two and Zack Byblow and William Bradon, who contributed one a piece.
Fergus was helped by Mike Traves, who tallied one goal. Traves scored 6:03 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Fergus. Mikael Ruffini assisted on the tally. Ben Roelofson also scored for Fergus. Other players who recorded assists for Fergus were Robert Ebach, who had one.
The Hornets' Connor Ryckman stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Alliston incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alex Elliott rejected 22 shots on goal for the Devils. Fergus incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
