Lambeth's comeback falls short, Dorchester wins 5-3

The Dorchester Dolphins, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Lambeth Lancers and clinched a 5-3 victory.

Dorchester led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Dolphins' Bryan McCauley scored at 10:01 in the second period to put Dorchester up 4-1.

The win gave the Dolphins a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Dorchester forced Lambeth goalie JP Trudell to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Dolphins' penalty kill unit could not stop the Lancers' power play, which converted on three of four opportunities.

Dorchester additionally got points from Chad Brulotte, who also registered one goal and one assist. Dorchester also had goals scored by Brendon O Shaughnessy and Tyler Kerr, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Michael Blue, Nathan Innes, Tyler Blue, Wade Russell, Patrick Freel, Mark Brisson, Lucas Mastroianni, and Collin Hartwick, who each chipped in one.

Lambeth's offense rang up 32 shots on Dorchester's net.

The Lancers were led by Warren Hargraves, who had one goal and two assists. Hargraves scored on the power play 4:31 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dorchester. Lambeth had gotten the advantage when the Dolphins' Brisson was sent off for holding stick. Others who scored for Lambeth included Ryan Pennington and Jordan Rear, who each put in one. More assists for Lambeth came via Kale Corbeth, who had two.

Kent Taylor made 29 saves for Dorchester on 32 shots. The Dolphins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Trudell rejected 32 shots on goal for the Lancers. Lambeth incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
