The Navy Vets were playing short on manpower but were still able to beat the Bulldogs 8-2 in Burford on Sunday night ...

the victory gave the Vets a sweep of the weekend 3 games and moved them into 4th place in the PJHL Doherty standings with a 12-8-0-1 record ...

they stand 1 point up on the Norwich Merchants, setting up a big Battle of Highway 59 game at Southwood Arena this coming Friday night Nov.23 ...

Austin Sine had 2 goals and 1 assist to lead the Vets while Trent Lamarche also scored 2 goals and Jacob Rooke added 4 assists ...

Chris Thompson with 1 goal and 2 assists, Noah Burns, Reid Campbell, and team leading scorer Kurtis Christo had the other Vets goals ...

Ben Williamson made 21 saves to record his 3rd win of the weekend and 8th of the season ... Raine Steadman made his junior debut playing the 3rd period in net for the Vets allowing only 1 goal on 12 shots to finish the game ...
