Shuck leads Lakeshore to shutout victory over Alvinston

Brendan Shuck was superb between the pipes for the Lakeshore Canadiens, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Alvinston Flyers.

Lakeshore was led by Mejoe Gasparovic, who finished with one goal. Gasparovic scored 2:11 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lakeshore. Hunter Corp assisted on the tally.

The Canadiens stifled Alvinston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lakeshore's offense rang up 32 shots on the Flyers' net.

Lakeshore additionally got points from Corp, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Lakeshore included Brandon Ireland and Guy Levesque, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lakeshore came via Zack Bedard, who had two and Steven Sartor, Dylan Kolic, and Brenden Crundwell, who each chipped in one.

Alvinston could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Flyers average 3.2 goals per game. Alvinston kept the Canadiens' goalie busy throughout the game, and Shuck made 35 saves on 35 shots.

Lakeshore incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Matt Boere recorded 28 saves for the Flyers. Alvinston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
