Hanson Re-Ups in North Middlesex

August 10, 2018
1:31 AM EDT

The North Middlesex Stars are excited to announce the re-signing of D Cameron Hanson for the 2018-19 PJHL Season.

Hanson, 18, returns to the Stars following a successful rookie campaign in 2017-18 which landed the 6’7 defender a spot on the Yeck Division’s entry in the PJHL’s Prospect Day in New Hamburg. Hanson also earned an invite and attended development camp with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights in May.

“Cam is hard to miss at 6’7 but it is his skating ability, poise, and athleticism that catches the attention of his opponents and his peers,” said Stars Head Coach Matt Melo. “At just 18, he has the tools and potential to assert himself as the league’s most complete defenseman. He is a favourite in the dressing room and an all around great character. We couldn’t be more excited to have him back.”

Hanson will be joined this year by a familiar face as the Stars announced the signing of former teammate, Jordan O’neil. In 2016-17 Hanson and O’neil won the OMHA Championship as well as the Regional Silverstick title.

Welcome back Cameron, John, Jacqueline & Hailey!
