Stars Acquire G Pierce Nelson
North Middlesex Stars GM Hayden Maass announced today the team has acquired G Pierce Nelson from the Picton Pirates from the Todd division of the PJHL.
Pierce, a native of Belleville, ON was selected by the Ontario Hockey League’s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the 3rd round of the U18 draft in 2017. The seventeen-year-old netminder spent parts of the last two seasons with the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL before closing out last season with Picton.
Nelson, a graduate of the Quinte Red Devils AAA program, will be attending The University of Western Ontario Bachelor of Medical Sciences program while he continues his hockey career in Parkhill with the North Middlesex Stars.
