Uxbridge Bruins are playoff bound with 7-5 Win over the Chiefs!
The Bruins marched into the Lakefield arena, well they walked the last kilometer after the long bus ride and came out flying with a 3-1 first period lead. Owen McKnight, Joshua Cammalleri and Justin Bennett provided the offensive scoring for the Uxbridge squad.
In the second period both teams scored 2 goals a piece for a 5-3 Bruins lead. Brendan Reid and Captain Adam Turner got the Uxbridge goals.
The Chiefs got to 5-4 but Spencer Mazakian gave the Bruins an insurance goal but Lakefield scored late on the powerplay to make for a close finish. Cammalleri with his second scored with 4 seconds remaining to secure the win.Cameron Smith with some big saves got the win in goal.
