Evans markers were sandwiched around a Rusty Hafner marker to make it 3-0 Wellington after 20 minutes. Darcy Greenaway, Sean Rudy and Joe Zarbo scored second period markers to make it 6-0 Dukes after two periods.
Tom Paine broke Jordan Ruby's shutout midway through the third period getting the Wilderness on the board, but Darcy Murphy restored the six goal lead with just under six minutes left in the game.
Wisconsin's offensive pressure picked up steadily through the third period, resulting in a nice one time rebound goal by Derek Tylka to round out the scoring.
Tonight, the host Huntsville Otters see their first tourney action hosting the Soo Eagles.
