Blake Ricci has been named the new General Manager of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens entering the 2015-16 OJHL season.

Ricci has worked his way up in the Jr. Canadiens minor hockey organization, starting as the Coordinator, Hockey Operations in June, 2011. In July, 2012, he joined the Jr. Canadiens Midget Coaching Staff and is now entering his 4th season with the program. Ricci has been slowly brought along in the organization and in August, 2014 he was named the Assistant General Manager of the Minor Hockey Organization.

Under the watchful eye of Tyler Cragg, President of the Jr. Canadiens, the Minor Hockey program has developed such NHLers as Alex Pietrangelo, Tyler Toffoli, and Devante Smith-Pelly.

Ricci, who was raised in Toronto, graduated from Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School and played his entire minor hockey career in the Greater Toronto Hockey League. He attended the University of Guelph, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and promptly attended Durham College where he graduated from the highly respected Sports Business Graduate program.

He continues to live in Toronto while working full-time at the Canadian Ice Academy as their Coordinator, Hockey Program/Ice Sales. Ricci looks forward to helping the Junior 'A' program build on a successful 2014-2015 season.

One of his first tasks is to help grow the Jr. Canadiens development model and have their Minor Midget/Midget players take the next step in their hockey careers by becoming full time junior players with the Jr. Canadiens.
