Below is the official press release from the Plattsburgh State Athletics website (www.gocardinalsports.com):
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Plattsburgh State men's ice hockey forward Dillan Fox as SUNYAC Ice Hockey Player of the Week.
Fox had a huge three point weekend in helping the Cardinals remain undefeated and capture the PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut crown on the campus of Norwich University.
On Friday Fox picked up an assist in a 5-4 win over Middlebury College.
On Saturday he tallied two goals against the Cadets in the title game. The first of his goals helped the Cardinals to rally for five straight goals against the Cadets. Fox's second goal came in the form of an overtime game winner with 49 seconds remaining to give Plattsburgh State the Great Northern ShootOut title.
Fox was also awarded Tournament MVP for his performances over the weekend.
The Cardinals are on the road for the remainder of 2015, but will be back in early January when they host the Buck Supply/W.B. Mason Cardinal Classic.
