Burlington Cougars forward Kevin Dimagno (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Elmira College Soaring Eagles beginning with the 2016-17 ECAC West Conference season.
The native of Fairport, New York kick-off his junior career playing two seasons in nearby Rochester with the Maksymum program of the Empire Junior Hockey League. He made the jump to the QJAAAHL in Canada during the 2013-14 season and after one year with the Saint-Leonard Arctic, Dimagno joined the OJHL as a member of the Pickering Panthers in 2014-15. Posting exactly a point-per-game for the Panthers with 21 points, he was moved to the nearby Whitby Fury for the club's post-season run and finished the year sixth on the club in scoring with 43 points in 50 games played, while adding three goals in four post-season contests. After starting the 2015-16 season in Whitby, the 6'1" forward was moved to Burlington and helped the Cougars finish the season strong. Dimagno had totals of 19 goals, a career-high, and 39 points in 50 regular season games, and added another eight points during Burlington's run to the South-East Conference Championship Series before falling to the Georgetown Raiders.
Congratulations to Kevin on the commitment and best of luck in the NCAA!
