As usual January 10, trade deadline day, was a busy one in the OJHL. Eighteen players moved from one OJHL club to another while four were moved to Junior teams outside of the League and four more came to the League from other Junior loops.

Burlington was a busy club at the deadline with two players swapping jerseys but not nicknames and three others arriving and one being transferred out. Joining the West Division club is Hunter Atchison who was scoring at a point per game clip for Cobourg and who last season racked up 99 regular season points for the Cochrane Crunch of the NOJHL. Going to the East Division team is 17-year old top prospect Josh Cammalleri. The Cougars will welcome another forward from the East in Austin Bottrell, the Michigan native was acquired to start the season for the Trenton Golden Hawks. Arriving on the team's blueline is 6'9" Jarrett Meyer, coming from the Pickering Panthers he has also suited up for the Sudbury Wolves and the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL. They also acquired Andrew Gavros and sent Connor Schmalz to the London Nationals of the GOJHL.

Cobourg added veteran defenseman Nick Minerva from the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL. Last season he was Assistant Captain with the Fort Frances Lakers in the NOJHL.

In a high-profile deal the Georgetown Raiders picked up Orangeville captain Colin Rigney, a career Flyer, who had 134 scoring points in his time there. Going to the Flyers is super-rookie Oakville native Daniel Berno, 18. The Raiders also added veteran Lou Kereakou from the North York Rangers.

The Kingston Voyageurs picked up Danny Reidel from the Hitmen of New Jersey (USPHL) and got goalie Boyd DiClemente  from Pembroke of the CCHL sending 'keeper Ryan Glander there in exchange.  DiClemente, a Peterborough native is no stranger to the League having played for Whitby and Lindsay. They had blueliner Emmett Gordon recalled by the Frontenacs.

The Lindsay Muskies and the Markham Royals switched players with rookie blueliner Cody McNabb heading to Markham in exchange for forward Russell Nowry who was also with Cobourg and Pickering. The Royals also picked up veteran blueliner Daniel DeSousa from the Mississauga Chargers. He also has Major Junior experience with the Belleville Bulls, Saginaw Spirit and Mississauga Steelheads as well as the QMJHL's Gatineau and Victoriaville.

Milton added goalkeeper Nick Kidd from Kingston and sent Will Rawski to the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL while Mississauga Charger forward Shane Beaulieu moves to the Powassan Voodoos of the NOJHL.

The Newmarket Hurricanes and the North York Rangers swapped forwards with Ryan Hunt heading to the Hurricanes and Joseph Mizzi becoming a Ranger. The 'Canes also moved defender Nicholas Favaro to the Toronto Patriots.

The Oakville Blades picked up former Junior Canadiens' captain Sal Filice and sent Brayden Sampson there in an exchange of biueliners.

Orangeville added defenseman Raymond Johnson from the Stouffville Spirit and sent Daniel Barnes to the Whitby Fury.

Other than releasing a player or two the Aurora Tigers, Buffalo Junior Sabres and Wellington Dukes stood pat on the 'big day'.
