MARTAN COMMITS TO CANISIUS COLLEGE
Wellington Dukes’ alternate captain Mitchell Martan (photo credit – Ed McPherson/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Canisius College Golden Griffins beginning with the 2018-19 season.
The 19-year-old from Whitby played minor hockey for the Whitby Wildcats AAA organization before two seasons at St. Andrew’s College in Aurora. He began his junior career at West Kelowna of the BCHL before joining Wellington midway through the 2016-17 season.
Martan leads the Dukes, the first-place team in the North East Conference, in points with 19 goals and 36 assists in 43 games.
