The Vikes compete in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League.
Eddy, a native of Duncan, BC, joined the Dukes this season. The 20-year-old forward has 18 points in 42 games with Wellington.
Eddy played his minor hockey with the Cowichan Valley Minor Hockey Association, leading peewee and bantam teams to the BC provincials. He played 101 games for the Jr. B Kerry Park Islanders of the VIJHL from 2014-18, tallying 35 goals and 43 assists.
He played Jr. A for the Soo Thunderbirds of the NOJHL in 2016-17 and eight games with the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the BCHL in 2015-16.
“I chose the University of Victoria because having a great education is very important to me, as well as having the ability to play competitive hockey for a well-respected program was something I couldn't pass up,” he said. “I look forward to helping the Vikes get another BCIHL championship in my time at the school. Go Vikes!”
The Ontario Junior Hockey League had more than 135 commitments in 2017-18, including 65 NCAA Division I scholarships.
Congratulations to Keenan and best of luck in Victoria!
