In 31 games in Markham, the 21-year-old posted a 3.66 GAA and .902 save percentage.
“Nick’s a great kid and was good for us,” said Mike Galati, Markham’s general manager and head coach. “Carried the load for us most of the season. I’m very happy for him to advance his academics and hockey career for the next four years. Good luck, Nick, and all the best!”
Stofcheck played his U16 season with the Chicago Young Americans and two years with the U18 Chicago Mission.
Congratulations to Nick and best of luck in the NCAA!
