Former Cobourg Cougar Stefano Durante was named Goaltender of the Week in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Hockey conference.

The senior from Brampton made his first two starts of the season and led AIC to a pair of home wins over visiting Air Force last weekend. He stopped 36 of 38 shots faced in the two games, allowing one goal in each game. He led the league this week with a 0.947 save percentage and 1.01 goals against average while being the only goalie to win both starts.

As a junior in 2019-20, Durante saw action in 17 games for the Yellow Jackets, posting an 11-6-0 record, a 2.44 GAA, and a .918 save percentage. He was named to the AHC All-Academic team.

Durante played in Cobourg from 2014-17, winning the RBC Cup National Junior A Championship in his final season.

The Brampton product won Top Goalie Award in OJHL in 2014-15 and 2016-17 for posting the lowest goals-against average.

He was named OJHL Humanitarian of the Year in 2015-16 and OJHL Fan Favourite in 2014-15.
