THREE-YEAR STOUFFVILLE DEFENCEMAN IS WISCONSIN NCAA CONFERENCE PLAYER OF WEEK
MADISON, Wis.-- Former Ontario Junior Hockey League defenceman Connor Evans has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Men's Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 24
Evans (Sr., D, Uxbridge, Ontario) continued his strong play during the week as Northland College split a pair of games against UW-River Falls, giving the LumberJacks their first conference regulation win since the 2019-20 season.
He had two assists in a 2-1 victory on Jan. 27, setting up the game-winning goal midway through the second period. Northland dropped a 3-1 contest at UW-River Falls on Jan. 29. Evans’ two assists on Jan. 29 gives him 10 since the holiday break and moved him into first place in the WIAC.
Evans played for the Stouffville Spirit in the OJHL during three seasons (2016-18).
