The 2005-born forward, from Trenton, ON joined the Dukes last season after a standout 2019-20 season with the Quinte Red Devils U15 team in which he had 55 points (25 goals, 30 assists) in 38 games.
He was selected by Ottawa in the fourth round (64th overall) of the OHL’s 2021 U16 draft.
“Ethan is an offensive-minded player, who excels in the high traffic areas of the ice,” said 67’s General Manager James Boyd. “Ethan had an excellent 2021-22 season with the Wellington Dukes, and we are excited that he has committed to the 67’s to continue his development.”
After missing the 2020-21 season because of COVID-19, Quick joined the Dukes as a 16-year-old and immediately made an impact. He tallied 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists) in 52 games.
"Quicky had a great 16-year-old year for us in Wellington,” said Dukes Head Coach/GM Derek Smith. “His 26 points were the highest total for a 16-year-old for the Dukes in quite a few years. We are excited to see Ethan continue his hockey journey in the OHL for the 67's."
Quick praised the Dukes.
"I'm fortunate for my opportunity in Ottawa,” he said on the Dukes’ website. “I want to thank my coaches and teammates in Wellington for preparing me for the next step in my career."
Congratulations to Ethan and best of luck in the OHL!
