TRADE ALERT: D-MEN SWAP
The Trenton Golden Hawks made a trade Wednesday, acquiring 1998-born defenceman Shawn Guison from the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL.
Guison, a native of Kelowna, BC, had eight points in 17 games in the midst of his second season with the Clippers before the trade.
To complete the deal, Trenton sent third-year defenceman Brandon Marinelli out west. The Toronto native posted 15 points - all assists - in 12 games this season and has improved his play consistently through his three seasons in Trenton, winning a Buckland Cup OJHL championship and two Dudley Hewitt Cups in the process. Brandon was also named an assistant captain earlier in the season.
The Golden Hawks would like to wish Brandon the best of luck out in BC and thank him for the great memories he has been a part of the last couple seasons. We'd also like to welcome Shawn to Trenton and the Golden Hawks family!
