GAME #26 PREVIEW: BATTLE OF THE HAWKS

November 18, 2017
8:49 PM EST

It may look like a mismatch on paper, but the Trenton Golden Hawks and Milton Icehawks game Sunday afternoon shouldn't be considered a cakewalk for the Golden Hawks.

The Icehawks, last place in just about every category in the OJHL, led very late in their previous matchup back on September 21 until the G-Hawks potted two late goals to eke out a tight 3-2 victory.

Both teams look much different nearly two months later and for Trenton, it will be a chance to showcase some different faces in the lineup. They will be missing captain Mac Lewis

The Icehawks boast two of the top young talents in the league, 16-year old forward Eric Ciccolini and 17-year old goaltender Noah Battaglia. Both of those players were named to the Eastern Canada Cup, recently held in Trenton.

Puck drops at 3:30 p.m from the Milton Memorial Arena.

Golden Hawks Player to Watch

#93 Ryan Brown

The resident of Lambeth, Ontario scored his second goal of the season and Trenton's only goal in a 5-1 loss to the Pickering Panthers Friday night. The 18-year old forward has been a energetic presence up front for the G-Hawks this year.

Icehawks Player to Watch

#19 Eric Ciccolini

The 16-year old Vaughn native has been a shining light offensively for a team that struggles to score. He has a team-high 17 points and was named to Team OJHL Hawerchuk for the Eastern Canada Cup.
