3:50 PM EDT

The Trenton Golden Hawks are pleased to announce that Liam Morgan has informed the team that he has signed a professional contract to play hockey for the Belfast Giants of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).

Liam played for the Trenton Golden Hawks from 2014-2017 and was a part of the Buckland Cup and both Dudley Hewitt Cup championship teams. He is also currently second, behind only Brady Wiffen, in Golden Hawk scoring, having recorded 143 points (61G, 82A) in 139 games.

While with the Golden Hawks, Morgan received a scholarship to attend Union College (NCAA D-1) and play for the Union College Dutchmen. In 67 games with the Dutchmen Morgan recorded 42 points (20G, 22A), and in 2017-2018 was recognized as an ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team member.

The Trenton Golden Hawks would like to congratulate Liam on his first professional hockey contract and wish him well as he continues his hockey career.

Morgan will make his Giants debut in pre-season action next month.
