Portland Jr. Pirates beat xP.A.L. Junior Islanders, 2-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

Portland Jr. Pirates took over the lead for good with a goal by Brady Fleurent at 3:18 in the first period. Portland Jr. Pirates earned a power play opportunity when Dan Broderick was put in the box for interference. Thomas Daniels picked up the assist.
