Reidel leads Jersey Hitmen over P.A.L. Junior Islanders, 6-0
Danny Reidel was all over the ice for Jersey Hitmen, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Jersey Hitmen's 6-0 win over P.A.L. Junior Islanders.
Reidel found the back of the net 4:51 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Jersey Hitmen and again while 16:40 into the third to make the score 6-0 Jersey Hitmen.The win gave Jersey Hitmen a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.
Jersey Hitmen forced P.A.L. Junior Islanders goalie John Persichili to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
Jersey Hitmen also got points from Alex Whelan, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Jersey Hitmen also had goals scored by Connor Healey, Nicholas Kim, and Dakota Concannon, who each put in one. In addition, Jersey Hitmen received assists from Nicholas Botta, who had one and Hunter Garlasco, who had three.
Alexei Masanko recorded 17 saves for Jersey Hitmen. Jersey Hitmen avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. P.A.L. Junior Islanders' Persichili stopped 35 shots out of the 41 that he faced. P.A.L. Junior Islanders ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
