Matt Langlois scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and xJersey Hitmen held off the challenges of xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs in a tough 4-3 win.

Langlois provided xJersey Hitmen with the game-winning tally when he scored 12:22 into the the first period. A hooking penalty on Bret Boyer had put xJersey Hitmen on the power play. David Kleyman picked up the assist.

xJersey Hitmen was sparked by Kleyman, who tallied one goal and one assist. Kleyman scored 20:40 into the second period to make the score 4-2 xJersey Hitmen. Rory Garlasco provided the assist.

Others who scored for xJersey Hitmen included Glenn Florczak and Dylan Stephanik, who scored one goal each. In addition, xJersey Hitmen received assists from Grant Jozefek, who had one.

xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs was helped by Chris Moquin, who tallied one goal. Moquin scored on the power play 24:26 into the second period to make the score 4-3 xJersey Hitmen. xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs earned a power play opportunity when Dylan Healey was put in the box for delay of game. Connor Powell picked up the assist. xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs also had goals scored by Evan Tyros and Evan Morrison, who each put in one. More assists for xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs came via Bryan Syrene, Brian Greene, and Sam Meyer, who each chipped in one.

Nick Modica recorded 17 saves for xJersey Hitmen. xJersey Hitmen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Josh Reinstein made 20 saves for xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs on 24 shots. xNew Hampshire Jr Monarchs registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
