Bernes' big game bests xBay State Breakers in 7-0 xJersey Hitmen win

xJersey Hitmen's Ian Bernes had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-0 win over xBay State Breakers.

Bernes scored at 11:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 xJersey Hitmen and again while 4:40 into the second to make the score 5-0 xJersey Hitmen.

xJersey Hitmen made xBay State Breakers' netminders to work in net, taking 57 shots and forcing 50 saves. Jack Nebe made 18 stops and Brian Brady made 32. xJersey Hitmen surpassed its usual scoring output this season. xJersey Hitmen averages 4.5 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

xJersey Hitmen also got points from Gregory Jandoli, who also had one goal and two assists. xJersey Hitmen also had goals scored by Phil Garcia, Devon Palmieri, Sam Zietara, and Stephen Bressi, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for xJersey Hitmen were Casey DeLorenzo, who had three and Joey Campisano, Vincent Petruolo, Gregory Wilkins, and Michael Meisenbacher, who each chipped in one.
