Selects Academy SKS rolls over Islanders Hockey Club, 5-1

Selects Academy SKS had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Islanders Hockey Club.

The win gave Selects Academy SKS a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Tyler Augustinsen was all over the ice for Selects Academy SKS, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Augustinsen scored 7:31 into the first period to make the score 1-1.

Selects Academy SKS excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Selects Academy SKS kept Islanders Hockey Club's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Ferguson made 38 saves on 43 shots.

Selects Academy SKS additionally got points from Joseph Cipollone, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Alex Limoges, who also registered one goal and one assist. Avery Steele also scored for Selects Academy SKS. In addition, Selects Academy SKS received assists from Carter Long, Connor Sundquist, and Dominic Dockery, who each chipped in one.

Selects Academy SKS' defense shut down Islanders Hockey Club's forwards for much of the game, and Islanders Hockey Club got off only eight shots during the contest.

Islanders Hockey Club was led by Conor Dempsey, who scored the team's only goal. Dempsey scored 3:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Islanders Hockey Club. Ricky Carballo picked up the assist.

Josh Boyko rejected seven shots on goal for Selects Academy SKS. Selects Academy SKS incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Islanders Hockey Club incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
