The Shoreline make the most of 12 hits in 8-3 victory over the Green River

The Shoreline (21-20) and the Green River (12-32) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Shoreline that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-3 win at Warrior Field .

Pete Pennylegion got on base four times in the game for the Shoreline. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Alex Poltz was hot from the plate for the Green River. Poltz went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.

Brad Bennett got the win, running his season record to 8-2. He allowed three runs over eight innings. Bennett struck out five, walked none and gave up 12 hits.

Travis Blough ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
