Burrell - MS beats Shaler - MS 4-3 after comeback scare

Shaler - MS tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Burrell - MS held on for a 4-3 victory.

Burrell - MS took a 4-1 lead during the second period, only to have Shaler - MS storm back on a David Cerra goal 9:09 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Burrell - MS was led by Jared Brennan, who had one goal and one assist. Brennan scored on the power play 7:43 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Burrell - MS. Burrell - MS had gotten the advantage when Shaler - MS' Spencer Platt was sent off for slashing. Jacek Burkhart picked up the assist.

Burrell - MS managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Burrell - MS finished below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game.

Burrell - MS also got points from Trinity Harrison, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Mario Ritchie, who also registered one goal and one assist. Burrell - MS also got a goal from Dylan Zelonka as well. More assists for Burrell - MS came via Caleb Kulczyski, Micah Silverman, and Luke Killmeyer, who each chipped in one.

Shaler - MS' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

In addition, Shaler - MS received assists from Samuel Stayduhar, who had two and Ryan Tegtmeier, Dylan Vallo, and Dominic Cavlovic, who contributed one each.

Dominick Zanotto recorded 17 saves for Burrell - MS. Burrell - MS registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Darren Rasimczyk made 11 saves for Shaler - MS on 15 shots. Shaler - MS incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
