Hampton holds on for 4-3 win against Fox Chapel

Hampton survived a determined comeback attempt by Fox Chapel on the way to a 4-3 win.

A goal by Kody Reiser put Hampton up 3-1 in the second period, but Fox Chapel pulled to within one on Sam Stites's tally 5:54 into the third period.

Justin Adamski had one goal and two assists to lead Hampton. Adamski scored on the power play 16:28 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Hampton. Hampton had gotten the advantage when Fox Chapel's Stites was sent off for holding. Daniel White provided the assist.

Hampton managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Hampton finished below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. Hampton forced Fox Chapel goalie Chad Veltri to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Hampton additionally got points from Justin Weinbrenner, who also registered one goal and one assist, Reiser, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and White, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Hampton came via Daniel Grob, who had one.

The defensemen of Fox Chapel were also effective in Hampton's zone, and came away with two goals.

Fox Chapel also got points from Ben Friedland, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jonathan Rice also scored for Fox Chapel. In addition, Fox Chapel received assists from Seth Krhovsky and Jasper Uricchio, who each chipped in one.

Kameron Bott rejected 27 shots on goal for Hampton. Hampton registered two goals on two power play opportunities. Chad Veltri made 47 saves for Fox Chapel on 51 shots. Fox Chapel incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
