Kutch, Long dominate Baldwin, lead Armstrong to 6-2 win
Behind two goals and two assists from Zachary Kutch and two goals and one assist from Nicholas Long, Armstrong downed Baldwin 6-2.
Kutch scored the first of his two goals at 6:43 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Armstrong. Donovan Wichowski picked up the assist. Kutch's next tally made the score 6-2 Armstrong with 3:45 left in the third period. Long provided the assist. Long scored the first of his two goals at 10:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Armstrong. Luke Gross picked up the assist. Long's next tally made the score 5-2 Armstrong with 10:38 left in the third period. Kutch provided the assist.Armstrong kept Baldwin's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dylan Desimone made 28 saves on 34 shots.
Armstrong also got points from Long, who also had two goals and one assist. Armstrong also had goals scored by Easton Hooks and David Contrael, who scored one goal each. In addition, Armstrong received assists from Jacob Toy and Jace Rearic, who each chipped in one.
Baldwin was led by Paul Knerr, who tallied two goals. Knerr scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 39 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 Armstrong. Mark Ohanlon assisted on the tally. Knerr's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Armstrong with 11:32 left in the third period. Baldwin had gotten the advantage when Armstrong's Gross was sent off for roughing.
Taylor Smouse rejected 22 shots on goal for Armstrong. Armstrong incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Baldwin incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
