Mars rips Baldwin, 4-1

Mars had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over Baldwin.

Mars got the win behind a great game by Keaton Hanna, who had two goals and one assist. Hanna scored the first of his two goals at 1:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mars. Hanna's next tally made the score 4-1 Mars with 11:19 left in the third period. Braden Hanna picked up the assist.

Mars also had goals scored by William Scurci and William Foley, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Mars were Noah Raymundo, who had one and Jonathan Kowalkowski, who had two.

Baldwin could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Baldwin averages 4.1 goals per game.

Baldwin was led by Luke Kirk, who scored the team's only goal. Kirk scored on the power play 9:27 into the first period to make the score 1-1. A tripping penalty on Andrew Norris had put Baldwin on the power play. Russ Zofcin assisted on the tally.

Tyler Spreng rejected 21 shots on goal for Mars. Mars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cole Shannon recorded 20 saves for Baldwin. Baldwin incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
