OLSH survives penalties, beats John Marshall, 6-1

OLSH's penalty kill was superb, as OLSH survived multiple penalties to beat John Marshall, 6-1.

OLSH was led by Gage Tisch, who grabbed one goal. Tisch scored 6:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 OLSH. Devyn Wosotowsky provided the assist.

OLSH forced John Marshall goalie Hunter Staten to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. OLSH's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. OLSH's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as OLSH finished with 30 penalty minutes.

OLSH also got points from Ethan Weisser, who also registered one goal and one assist, Wosotowsky, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Mark Zukowski, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Mark Richardson, who also tallied one goal and one assist.

John Marshall's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven OLSH power plays. John Marshall could not produce up to its normal offensive output. John Marshall puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

John Marshall was led by Ryley Jones, who scored the team's only goal. Jones scored on the power play 1:43 into the third period to make the score 3-1 OLSH. Nicholas Solema picked up the assist.

Jesse Broniszewski made 14 saves for OLSH on 15 shots. Staten recorded 31 saves for John Marshall. John Marshall incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
