Plum and Moon skate to 3-3 (OT) tie
Plum rebounded from a two-goal deficit to tie Moon, 3-3 (OT).
Moon was unable to stop Plum from sending pucks towards the net, and Plum eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Plum struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 30 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.
Plum was helped by Stephen Shields, who tallied one goal and one assist. Shields scored on the power play 5:12 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Plum had gotten the advantage when Moon's Thomas Polster was sent off for interference. Domenic Borriello picked up the assist. Plum additionally got points from Borriello, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Nolan Puhala also scored for Plum. In addition, Plum received assists from Zach Keller and Dillon Joyce, who contributed one each.
Moon's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Moon finished with 28 penalty minutes.
Moon was led by Luke James, who finished with one goal and one assist. James scored on the power play 7:51 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Moon had gained a power play chance when Adam Stasko was whistled for hooking. Joseph Sell assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Moon included Evan Briant and Nicholas Hart, who each put in one. More assists for Moon came via Trey Kirksey and Logan Rosser, who each chipped in one.
Nathan Puhala rejected 20 shots on goal for Plum. Plum registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Ryan Durkin made 29 saves for Moon on 32 shots.
