Plum - MS takes care of Shaler - MS early, wins 9-2

Plum - MS jumped out to a six-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat Shaler - MS, 9-2.

Daniel Baranowski had a great game for Plum - MS, netting two goals. Baranowski found the back of the net 47 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Plum - MS and again while 2:11 into the first to make the score 2-0 Plum - MS.

Plum - MS kept Shaler - MS' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Bragg made 24 saves on 33 shots.

Plum - MS also got points from Logan Schlegel, who also grabbed two goals and two assists and Alex Dikun, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Plum - MS also got a goal from Nick Pushic as well. In addition, Plum - MS received assists from Jeremy DAntonio, who had four and Anthony Scarpino and Nicholas Flinko, who each chipped in two.

Shaler - MS managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Shaler - MS wound up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. Shaler - MS did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting nine shots on net to force seven saves. Shaler - MS got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Shaler - MS was led by Spencer Platt, who registered two goals. Platt scored the first of his two goals at 7:26 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Plum - MS. Justin Newton picked up the assist. Platt's next tally made the score 7-2 Plum - MS with 17:25 left in the second period.

Plum - MS' Sam Pine stopped seven shots out of the nine that he faced. Plum - MS incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Shaler - MS registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
