Moon falls to Quaker Valley in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Quaker Valley's Noah Shultz scored 2:04 into overtime to beat Moon, 5-4 (OT).

Alexander Ritz had a great game for Quaker Valley, netting two goals. Ritz scored at 23 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quaker Valley and again while 10:57 into the first to make the score 2-1 Quaker Valley.

Quaker Valley forced Moon goalie Ryan Durkin to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The defensemen of Quaker Valley were also effective in Moon's zone, and came away with three goals.

Quaker Valley additionally got points from Connor Quinn, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Shultz, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Quaker Valley also got a goal from Peter Hall as well. More assists for Quaker Valley came via Rocco Grimaldi, who had one and Jake Giotto, who had three.

Moon stifled Quaker Valley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Moon was led by Luke James, who registered one goal and one assist. James scored 16:43 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Luke Euston assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Moon included Jakob Konecsni, Thomas Polster, and Shawn Hytla, who scored one goal each. In addition, Moon received assists from Joseph Sell, who had two and Trey Kirksey and Nicholas Hart, who contributed one each.

Connor Gatesman recorded 21 saves for Quaker Valley. Quaker Valley ended with no penalties and went 0-for-3 on the power play. Moon's Durkin stopped 33 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Moon incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
