Quaker Valley downs Mt. Lebanon in overtime, 4-3 (OT)
Quaker Valley's Owen Harkins scored 2:36 into overtime to beat Mt. Lebanon, 4-3 (OT).
Quaker Valley got the win behind a great game by Connor Quinn, who had one goal and two assists. Quinn scored on the power play 6:28 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A hooking penalty on Anthony Sandora had put Quaker Valley on the power play. Beau Tomczak picked up the assist.
Mt. Lebanon was unable to stop Quaker Valley from sending pucks towards the net, and Quaker Valley eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.
Others who scored for Quaker Valley included Ricardo Fernandez and Jake Giotto, who each put in one. More assists for Quaker Valley came via Noah Shultz, who had one.
Mt. Lebanon was helped by Zach Rudoy, who tallied one goal. Rudoy scored 6:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Mt. Lebanon. Matthew Simmonds assisted on the tally. Mt. Lebanon also had goals scored by Benjamin McGraw and Griffin Erdely, who scored one goal each. In addition, Mt. Lebanon received assists from Max Manzo and Kenneth Schrader, who contributed one each.
Connor Gatesman rejected 26 shots on goal for Quaker Valley. Quaker Valley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ryan Wetherington made 28 saves for Mt. Lebanon on 32 shots. Mt. Lebanon incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
