PIHL Announces November Players of the Month
PIHL Players of the Month for November
The PIHL is proud to announce the following players as PIHL November Players of the Month.
AAA-Trevor Gilliland (Butler), Senior Forward, 4 games played, 4 goals (including 2 GWG) and added 8 assists for 12 points. Only Earned 6 PIMS in those 4 games. One of Trevor’s GWG’s was an overtime winner to defeat Central Catholic, 4-3 on Nov.27th .
AA-Cameron Wycich (Shaler), Senior Forward, 3 games played, 3 goals (including 2 PPG) 5 assists for 8 points. No PIMS for Cameron in those 3 games, which is outstanding! Helping Shaler to 3-0 record in the month of November put the team back over .500 at 4-3-1. Cameron was a major reason for that averaging 2.66 points per game.
A-Nick Frantz (Meadville), Junior Froward, 4 games played, amassed an amazing 11 goals and 7 helpers for 18 total points! These stats included 3 PPG, 4 SHG (2 of those only 12 seconds apart in a 5-3 situation), and 2 GWG and only 4 PIMS! Averaged 4.5 points per game in the month and leads PIHL in scoring at the Class A level. One of Nick’s most prolific games in the month was when he scored 6 goals in game versus Kiski on November 20th.
Division 2- Tyler Stewart (Burrell), Sophomore Forward, 4 games played scored 14 goals (the most in the PIHL during the month) and added 6 assists for 20 points (again, the most by any player in PIHL for the month! Staying out of the box in accomplishing this, Tyler only earned 4 PIMS in November and currently leads Division 2 (as well as ALL 4 Varsity Classifications in the PIHL) in points with 52 in 10 games (34 goals and 18 assists)!
NOTE- All players selected for Player of the Month will receive tickets and be recognized at the Wednesday December 27th Pittsburgh Penguins home game vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets!
