Thomas Jefferson falls apart in second, loses to Montour, 9-2

Thomas Jefferson was within striking distance after one period, but Montour put the pedal down in the second en route to a 9-2 victory.

Brandon Eisel had a great game for Montour, netting four goals. Eisel notched his first tally 2:42 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:21 into the second, at 14:42 into the second, and at 9:21 into the third.

Montour excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Montour kept Thomas Jefferson's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jordan Blosl made 44 saves on 53 shots.

Montour additionally got points from Camron Smith, who also grabbed two goals and three assists to lead the team in points and Ian McLean, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Michael Tracy also scored for Montour. More assists for Montour came via Philip Santucci, Matthew Tracy, Billy Flint, and Anthony Hartwick, who contributed one each.

Thomas Jefferson was helped by Hayden Hintemeyer, who registered one goal and one assist. Hintemeyer scored 9:16 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Montour. Kevin Koett provided the assist. Thomas Jefferson also got points from Koett, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Thomas Jefferson were Anthony Carilli, who had one.

Montour's Arn Criswell stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Montour incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Thomas Jefferson incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
