Montour blows out Wheeling Catholic, 6-3
Montour had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over Wheeling Catholic.
Matthew Tracy had two goals and one assist to lead Montour. Tracy scored the first of his two goals at 7:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Montour. Ian McLean picked up the assist. Tracy's next tally made the score 4-1 Montour with 9:07 left in the second period. McLean assisted on the tally.
Wheeling Catholic's power play was ineffective against Montour's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

An interference penalty on Eisel had put Wheeling Catholic on the power play. Chase Kelly picked up the assist. Wheeling Catholic additionally got points from Kyle Wensel, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Wheeling Catholic also got a goal from Chase Edgerton as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wheeling Catholic were Bryan Courts, Ryan Gossett, and Christopher Furka, who each chipped in one.
Montour's Hayden Chieffo stopped 24 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Montour registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Gus Heath rejected 24 shots on goal for Wheeling Catholic. Wheeling Catholic incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
