Orr leads South Park over Wheeling Park, 6-2

Tanner Orr had two goals and two assists to lead South Park to a 6-2 victory over Wheeling Park.

Orr found the back of the net 4:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 South Park and again while 15:55 into the first to make the score 4-0 South Park.

South Park could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

South Park also got a goal from Kyle Kircher as well. Other players who recorded assists for South Park were Hunter Lanetz, who had two and Michael Marynchak, Justin Hickey, and Jacob Kwolek, who contributed one each.

Wheeling Park forced South Park goalie Shane Walker to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Wheeling Park had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 12 chances.

Wheeling Park was led by Nikita Slivchenko, who grabbed two goals. Slivchenko scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 8:41 into the third period to make the score 5-1 South Park. Wheeling Park had gained a power play chance when Orr was whistled for interference. Slivchenko's next tally on the power play made the score 6-2 South Park with 6:34 left in the third period. Wheeling Park had gotten the advantage when South Park's Ryan Sikora was sent off for kneeing. Brooke McArdle assisted on the tally.

Shane Walker made 35 saves for South Park on 37 shots. South Park registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Dorothy Romanek rejected 13 shots on goal for Wheeling Park. Wheeling Park incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
