Miller's hat trick boosts Bishop McCort over Wheeling Park, 5-4

Christopher Miller lifted Bishop McCort to a 5-4 victory with a hat trick against Wheeling Park.

Miller notched his first tally 6:37 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:31 into the second and at 6:09 into the third.

Bishop McCort forced Wheeling Park goalie Dorothy Romanek to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. The defensemen of Bishop McCort were also effective in Wheeling Park's zone, and came away with three goals.

Bishop McCort also got points from Tristan Mock, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Bishop McCort also got a goal from Ty-Rique Rozier as well. More assists for Bishop McCort came via Cole Berkebile, Alexander Templin, Anthony Formica, Trent Karalfa, Richard Phillips, and Brett Seitz, who contributed one each.

Wheeling Park could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Wheeling Park was led by Nikita Slivchenko, who registered one goal and two assists. Slivchenko scored 13:38 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Bishop McCort. Wheeling Park additionally got points from Jason Gwynn, who also had one goal and one assist. Wheeling Park also had goals scored by Austin Curnes and Luke Knollinger, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wheeling Park received assists from Elijah Pissos and Jefferson Gwynn, who each chipped in one.

John Bradley made 26 saves for Bishop McCort on 30 shots. Bishop McCort incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Wheeling Park's Romanek stopped 38 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Wheeling Park registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
