The Lower Columbia take out the Pierce with help from Bakamus, 7-3
Jake Bakamus had two extra base hits, sparking the Lower Columbia (32-8) to a 7-3 victory over the Pierce (17-20) on Sunday at David Story Field.
He singled in the first inning and tripled in the eighth inning.Jeremy Rabauliman had an impressive outing against the Pierce's lineup. Rabauliman gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Rayven Kahana got on base four times in the game for the Pierce. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the eighth inning.
Joel Worden improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lower Columbia. He allowed two runs over four innings. Worden struck out three, walked one and gave up two hits.
Kyle Kornegay couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Pierce, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in eight innings, walked four and struck out three.
The Lower Columbia were sparked by Ryan Littlefield and Bakamus, who teamed up for five hits and six RBIs.
