Gawley helps the Mt. Hood down the Tacoma 7-3

The Mt. Hood (34-13) beat the Tacoma (36-14) 7-3 on Sunday at David Story Field behind Nick Gawley, who collected three hits.

He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Chase Wiger pitched lights out for the Mt. Hood. The Tacoma managed just one hit off of Wiger, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Aaron Clift improved to 4-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Mt. Hood. He allowed three runs over six innings. Clift struck out three, walked three and gave up four hits.

Zach Rohrbach ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
