The Evolution of the Authentic Hockey Experience Has Begun...
The Potomac Patriots are proud to announce the evolution of the Authentic Hockey Experience!
Over the past five years the Potomac Patriots have grown into a nationally recognized Junior program. Now, the Patriots will add a youth component to their successful Junior program. As Prince William Hockey Club Vice President Tony Ryan states, “The Potomac Patriots will become a true cradle to college program; equipped with the facility, the staff, and the brand to offer a quality hockey experience for players of all ages and skill levels. The Patriots are going to develop s new breed of student athletes.” Travel teams will continue to participate in the CBHL, and at the U14 and U16 levels, the Patriots Elites will also have access to the USPHL and compete with the league’s prestigious Tier I level teams. The USPHL is quickly becoming the largest, most successful league in the country. With the consumption of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League and the expansion into U14 hockey, the USPHL could ice in excess of 100 teams next season. The Patriots expansion into youth will add to that growing number of teams and to the strength of the league. "We're excited to be taking the next step in the development of our players," commented GM RJ Zeigler. "Regardless of a players age, gender, skill level, or aspiration, the Potomac Patriots will have a program designed to maxmize their experience and development."
The Potomac Patriots Youth Program will launch this March with the P.P.A.T.S. (Potomac Patriots Advanced Tournament Series) Spring Program. Weekly on ice practices, off ice cross-training, nutrition education, and participation in two tournaments will highlight the new spring hockey option.
